    Seeking a technically savvy Sr. Quality Engineer with 3-5 years of industry experience in all areas of the Quality Engineering/testing domain:

    Including exposure to different testing methodologies (agile, waterfall, etc.), multiple testing phases, and various testing and automation tools. The right candidate will have at least three years of hands on automation experience in different platform utilizing various automation tools. 

    Additionally, the candidate will possess strong Linux skills and expertise with all types of filesystems, Linux package management and virtualization technologies. Comfortable providing feedback or analysis on issues when necessary, has great problem solving and communication skills, detailed and thorough, and a good mentor with superb work ethics who is willing to work with both onshore and offshore groups.

    Responsibilities

     The Sr. Quality Engineer will analyze test requirements and designs, as well as produce re-usable test scripts and procedures to test new or amended software to be executed by self and other staff using agreed methods and standards. May at times serve as a mentor junior team members, recommending and coaching best practices in the area of testing. 

     

    Essential Functions: 

     

    • Ensure early and on-going engagement with Design, Development and Product Manager 
    • Analyzes test requirements/designs, and produces re-usable test scripts and procedures to test new and amended software 
    • Understand and interpret functional and non-functional requirements as needed to develop test cases 
    • Actively work to identify, communicate, mitigate and resolve testing issues and risks 
    • Manage test scripts, test cases, test results using standard testing tooling such as Jira or Rally
    • Produce plans to test the effect of the new and changed software on existing systems
    • Automation of test plans to develop over time a full suite of regression tests 
    • Install software onto test environments, identify if equipment is needed to deliver the test program 
    • Execute scripts and procedures to test new and amended proprietary software, data configuration, and product integration 
    • Participate in test plan, test case, and test results review sessions and make modifications if necessary. 
    • Monitor progress and document test failures and successes compared with pre-defined criteria, in accordance with agreed standards 
    • Analyze the bottlenecks and identify the optimal solution during test execution 
    • Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality is not broken and recommends corrective action 
    • Implement reusable tools and automation strategy to increase productivity 

    Qualifications

     

    Required Skills:

    • QE experience including test planning, test case creation and execution and defect logging using QE tools, such as Rally or Jira
    • Strong background in Linux Administration
    • Experience with one or more scripting languages like Python, Ruby, or Perl.
    • Experience automating RESTful API functions and calls
    • Experience in Java a plus
    • Experience with Git and CI tools such as Jenkins
    • Experience using MSSQL, MySQL and other querying tools 
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities
    • Ability to work well both independently and as a member of a team
    • Previous experience with both onshore and offshore QA teams

      Education:  BE/BTech- CS/IT or related field of study

     

            Experience:- 3 to 5yrs
